Make a hat for your family to wear on your family vacation this year! It’s easy to make multiples with your Cricut® 3.

Print Project

Step 1

First, create the design for your family's vacation in Cricut® Design Space™.
TIP: Be sure to include your family name and the year!

Step 2

Size the design as you would like it to appear on your hat.

Step 3

Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 4

In your preview screen, check ‘Mirror’ in the left panel for each mat, to reverse your image and update the quantity to cut in the upper left corner.

Step 5

Now, click ‘Continue’ in the bottom right corner of your screen and choose the correct material.

Step 6

Attach your roll feeder to your machine and feed your first roll into the feeder and Cricut® 3 machine; then follow the prompts to cut out your design. Use the trimmer tool on your feeder to cut the section with your design away from the roll.
TIP: Repeat Step 6 for each mat/layer in your design.

Step 7

Use your weeder tool to remove all the excess material around and inside your design. You’ll be left with just the reversed design on the clear plastic carrier sheets, which are slightly sticky.

Step 8

Preheat your EasyPress™ to the appropriate temperature for your material.

Step 9

Place the carrier sheet, so it’s sticky-side down, onto your hat. You should be able to see the layer through the carrier sheet, just as it will appear once ironed.
TIP: Press each layer, one at a time, starting with the bottom layer.
